That was an enjoyable read. I have heard and used much of it. That brought back memories. Almost makes me miss the kitchen
 
Man, does that bring back memories!

To the newbi cook "this bacon is too short to cover the sandwich, go ask the chef where the bacon stretcher is. He had it last." And proceed to send him from employee to employee until he figures it out.

Our tables were always to short. Many a new cook or intern went in search of a table extender. Usually had to goto the managers one by one.
 
Oh...I'd say...about 2 1/2 lbs.!...
