Now thats "pigs in a blanket"...man sized!

A local soft serve vendor here was going to get me to make him a stainless rack for making what he said was a big thing in Hawaii. He never pursued it any further, he had some health and temporary business problems and stuck with ice cream.

But this is what they are. He wanted me to make the baking rack thing for him

Finally got around to checking out the website you linked. Never heard of Puka Dog.
Link says started around 2000 on the island of Kauia or about 10 years after I first had a bagel dog

Man you got me drooling. They remind me of the pretzel logs I used to get from an Amish market. They were a sausage link and Cooper cheese wrapped in pretzel dough, dipped in boiling baking soda water, salted and baked. When they come out of the oven they brushed them with clarified butter...OMG they were good. They had ham and cheese and another type also.

I made some a while back but not quite as good...too close together I guess.
