Ok, so I've gone a bit crazy with this, but I took pictures of the assembly process for my new WSM.
Here's everything out of the box. Notice my little helper...
She likes hangin' with Daddy:
Here's one tip I'll share. The instructions tell you to try to connect the legs to the ash pan before bolting the legs to the bottom. I tried twice and each time I attempted to bolt on the legs, they all fell over.
I bolted the legs to the bottom loosely and then put the ash pan on:
Two sets of bolts, nuts and washers per leg:
Charcoal grate in:
Charcoal pan in:
Middle section on with 4 brackets for the water pan and 2 racks:
Da door:
A view inside through the door:
The water pan sitting in place (this thing is ginormous!):
Here's a view through the door with the water pan in place (I can see why people complain about not being able to add coals to the other side easily):
Bottom rack in place:
Top rack in place:
All done and little helper approved!
And safe and sound next to the Performer with the cover on:
So there you have it. If I would have put the legs on as I mentioned in my tip instead of following the directions, I would have been done in ~15 minutes even with taking pictures.
This is my compensation QView for not being able to do an actual smoke for a few days.
As always, thanks for looking.
