Was wondering around at the grocery and they had twin pk butts for .99 a lb.. picked one up and see the date to use them by is the 10th. I wont be able to cook them till the 9th. I am going to freeze them for a few days then take out 2 days before I cook. But was curious on everyone's thoughts for letting them ride sealed in the fridge till the cook.

In my opinion the "sell by" and "use by" dates are pretty conservative and I don't have any problem going a few days beyond without having to freeze.

Check if the label says "natural" or "Contains _% solution of blah blah." Frozen/thawed natural butts are impacted a tad by the process. Injected butts, no difference in my experience if frozen and thawed.

That's what I thought..I'm just weird with meat..
Good to be cautious . Does it have a packed date ? I just bought a couple double packs . The packed date was 7/12/ 19 . Sell by was 8 / 3 . I was 4 days before the sell date when I opened them , and they had a slight smell . Completely normal , just be advised that it can happen . Make sure of your fridge temp . I keep mine 36 to 38 degrees .

As long as they are in the original cryovaced package, and not repackaged by the store, then you will be fine. No need to freeze.
