Any Suggestions On seasoning my new WSM? I had read before to rub the inside a new smoker with olive oil or spray it with PAM and then get the smoker up as hot as you can for a few hours. Any other suggestions?
Get it as hot as it'll get and cook some chicken ! You can do the Pam thing and olive oil and all that , but then christen it with some nice smoky chicken fat !
No need to do a traditional seasoning, just get it buring with all vents open for about an hour or so to burn off any factory residue. Since the WSM is enamel coated it doesn't require seasoning like other smokers. Then like Hambone said toss some chicken on and enjoy a good meal!
