The Nugget had the best buffet, Peppermill the best place to gamble, tho I've been gone five years since we moved to AZ. Now we go to Vegas, gaming stinks, better going to one of the local Indian casinos. RAY

I forgot to mention Archie's Burgers, they are right on Virginia St not far from the strip, truly great burgers and shakes. Not cheap, but nothing is these days. RAY

Try the Western Village Steakhouse. You need to call ahead and make a reservation. Well idk about middle of week lol If you decide to go, order up a bowl chopped garlic when the bread comes out. Mix the garlic with the oil and vinegar and top your bread with it. 👌👌👌
You can thank me later.

if you want a good steak I would recommend Ruby River. Its across the street from the Peppermill. Porterhouse is awesome. A bit pricey though. Filet is also good but small. If you want good Mexican I would suggest Bertha Miranda's. Its a few blocks east of downtown.

Before I forget you should hit up Big Eds Alley Inn for breakfast before you leave. Its on 4th street east of downtown. It’s not fancy but it’s good. The chicken fried steaks and bloody mary's are pretty tasty. bmudd14474 bmudd14474 should have good info on eating places as he was a Reno regular.

There is a sushi place inside the el dorado that’s pretty good. I think they have all you can eat for 1hr. I’ve eaten there a few times and it was surprisingly good.

Never been to Reno but the Circus Circus buffets in 1991 and 1992 were amazing just due to the sheer size. There was enough food in that sucker at once to last 500 people 5 years.
I went to the Circus Circus buffet when I was a teenager. Ate so much it was crazy!

Thanks for the suggestions. Been getting some from other people I know. Going to be hard to choose!
I recall my uncle speaking of visiting the Mustang Ranch when he was out that way, but I will say no more lol.
Have a feeling the GF won't be real keen on going there!

Ruby River Steak house was a fav of mine

"The Buffet"inside ElDorado is one of the best IMO.

Toucan Charlie's has one of the best Buffets around.

There is a little bbq joint called Sparks and Smoke that had some decent BBQ.

Ijji2 for Sushi.

Beefy's is a hole in the wall on S Virginia but a damn good burger.

Downtown there is a great Pho place.

For Chinese there's a place in West Reno called Dynasty that was good

For Coffee find a Dutch Bros. For doughnuts you need Doughboy Doughnuts.

For music I know there are several places downtown but remember it's a college town. Also, there should be an calendar of events at reno.gov. also check Sparks website too for a calendar.

The Legend mall is nice. Has a great movie theater and Grimaldis Pizza which is AWESOME.

There's several good Mexican places. My Favorite is about a hour drive NW of reno in a town called Sierraville. Restaurant is Los Dos Hermano's.

Let me know if there is more you're looking for and I'll give you my 2 cents.

Thanks much! Sounds like quite a few choices. I knew I could depend on the people here for some help!
