Hey everyone my name is Tony from North New Jersey , never smoked before just bought a master forge 2 door propane verticle smoker i know nothing about smoking meat did some research people had said to insulate the doors with rope gasket but couldnt find any round here went to a local hardware store and found some Green egg high temp gasket cut it out best i could with 45 degree angles and got them stuck on nearly perfect let it sit and cranked it up to about 300 with some wood in the box and water in the pan let it go for about an hour then let it cool i put a oven thermometer inside and comfirmed my stock door thermometer Was off by -27 degrees also bought a cheap wireless thermometer from wally world for 12 bucks hope it will tell me when meat is done so i wont have to open doors to much. Now anything else i should modify change how do i set temp and vents or knob on the burner setting how long will it take to cook what temp should i be cooking at how much smoke should there be i have so many questions have no idea but hopefully you guys can help me out, oh in case any one is wondering my tag NOPULP13 is because i offroad alot and just got my custom plates NO PULP on my 2013 crush Orange rubicon , lookin forward to hearing from you guys keep the bbq going and keep the shiney side up to any jeep guys!
