Well I got my first char-grill wood smoker. Been reading all the posts and getting go answers. I said self, lets do a chicken for our first time. Got the wood going, a feat in its self. Got the temp to 225. holding steady with a couple of sticks of oak. you still with me. Smoking for an hour when the cops show up and tell me the smoke is going in my neighbors house and they want me to shut it down. Well having about eight beers I decided that I would not shut it down. They served me with a complaint and I now have to go to court. Next week I am doing a brisket and I will have it smoking for ten hours. I hope they have a smoke alarm that goes off every five minutes. Not being an ass it isnt that much smoke.
