Hello, Mike from Charlotte NC. Santa gave me a Bar B Chief w/ fire box. Life is good. I am good cook on gas and kettle w/ coal. I have had 4 smokes so far.This past weekend did 2 racks beef ribs w/ chicken. Smoked with Cherry. I look foward to this site.

Welcome to the SMF!! I just got a BarBChef two days ago and did my first smoke on it yesterday... alls good!! You'll love this place- lots of friendly folks here that like to share experiences and help with ideas!! Check out the 5 day ecourse!! its free and packed full of good info!!

Thanks for the welcome. I have done the 5 day ecourse. Very good stuff. I look foward in grow my skills in smoking. I love to cook for people and i want to be good at smoking.

Welcome Reddog , this site is very helpfull . has been for me so far . Santa brought me a bar b chef as well . Have you and maybee I should ask bustedluck also ,,, made any modifications to raise the firebox lower grate for beter air circ. ? didnt seem to be getting good fire till I spaced it up w/ a couple of brick pieces last smoke.
