Well after looking around a bit, I come across some food grade barrells...
I got this one here about 10 miles from the house for $20 cash...and he has quite a few more, if anyones interested let me know, located in central Illinois...they have vitamin e in them from an ag plant for mixing feed. I gotta get the hardware yet and do a burn, so we'll see how it goes. Oh yea they all have lids rings and in very good shape.

That looks like the liner to me I lit a big fire in mine then scraped it out then wire brushed it

Yea it's got the liner, I hope the burn will take care of most of it, if not I guess I'll be wire wheeling it......big and heavy though so I think it will be worth the burn.....

Never found a drum that was not contaminated somehow before now...( did'nt look real hard ), but me and my brother will get started on this thing maybe tomorrow night after work, we have all the oak and mulberry you could want for the burn so we'll get her good and hot, hopefully that will take care of most of the liner....I think I'm gonna be real happy with it Rick, still got applewood.....

I used a turbo weed burner, did it twice, then the wire wheel in a four inch grinder an one final burn, took care as much a that liner as was ever comin out. Been no troubles with the drum since.

Like rick, yer gonna really like that drum, became my favoriet smoker.
