I'm making a smoker out of a stainless pipe 3ft tall 16 in outside diameter with a thickness of 3/16 and I have 1 1100watt single burner I need to know if that's enough to bring the temp over 200

YOU JUST HAD TO DIDN'T YOU??

I saw the thread and quickly looked and thought " I'm not going there"  and THEN a second look and I saw USMC!  NEVER leave a brother behind/hangin!  Semper Fi my brother.  So here we go with my 2 cents.  Stainless is HARD to get hot and when you add in 3/16" stainless it becomes tougher.  Without more info the answer to your question is yes, it should do.  NOW how long it will take to get up to that temp is a totally different can of worms.  I LIKE your stainless idea.  In my humble opinion I might consider using propane as a heat source.  You can crank it up to get the smoker hot and then back it down to maintain smoking temp.  Add a AMNPS for a smoke source and you're off and running.  For more ideas post you same question in the smoker builds forum.  Hope this helps.  Keep Smokin!
