My First Forum... ever

Hey everyone,

Since I was so clever selecting a profile name I guess the secrets out that my name is Brad.   I live in the good ole USA... down south in Alabama...  

I'm brand new to the smoking world and have only been grilling for 5 months or so (mostly chicken thighs).  For grilling... I bought a Chargriller ACORN and have absolutely loved it!  Would love to have gotten a BGE but the $'s were just to much for me to start with... I also have a gas Brinkman 4 burner but I mostly just use it for burgers and hotdogs now...

Because of my new found love for outdoor cooking I recently purchased an electric smoker (Masterbuilt 40': 20070311).  I've never used a smoker before but am really looking forward to it.  I plan to season tonight!  

I read a lot on the forum when selecting my smoker and ended up finding it on a Black Friday sale at Academy for $200!  

Any mods, tips, suggestions, etc. are greatly appreciated.

Looking forward to learning from you guys and sharing anything I have that may be of value!
