Well, I have read these forums for awhile and now I am official.
I am from NW Iowa and just starting to learn this fine art. I currently have a hand me down smoker from my FIL. I inherited when he passed away a couple of years ago. It looks like the one at the top of this website only the firebox is on the left and not the right.
I just recently got and used it for the first time yesterday. I see that there is a lot to learn and that most of this learning is a trial and error method.
I eventually want to try and smoke some ribs and whatever meat that they to make pulled pork sandwiches. I would also like try loin as well.
Ohh, by the way that Cowgirl person is my hero. She can make some really good meals.
