HI all! Just found the forums and am I addicted!! The articles I have read are answering most of my questions regarding getting deeper into the hobby!!
A very hardy Thank You to everyone even before I get deeper into the forums!! LOTS of ideas I want to try now!
Gotten back into cooking in general... and some good Q... thanks to a supportive Mrs. There has not been a project that she didnt back me on 100%
Might be a new guy to Q, being from Detroit... but once the smoke enters your bloodstream, its not hard to get hooked! Have enjoyed several butts, one brisket (so far) and for Thanksgiving I smoked a Boneless Turkey Breast for me and the Mrs. it was the best turkey I have ever had in my 46 years.. and the Mrs. in her ## years
Every turkey I have had was dry at the table... or the next day for leftovers.... this was juicy to the point of dripping for 4 days afterwards.
Currently I am cooking on a propane grill with the addition of a chip box and using only one burner. After visiting the forums, I think I will be working on a "community friendly" version of Pops smokehouse... something they wont whine too much about when I fire it up.
Looking forward to trying some of the great ideas I have already seen... and all the other ideas I have yet to find in the forums.
