Electrical Heater Add-on

Hello all,

I have a new Oklahoma Joe's offset Vertical smoker and was wondering if anyone ever adds an electrical heating element or pad in the smoke box to assist with boosting the temperature?

I'd like to raise my temps and maybe the electrical add-on might even out some of the temp spikes.

Is there a safe way to get some kind of electrical heater in there?
