Hi everyone,
I am relativly new to smoking, about 6 months. I have a Brinkman SnP but it is not the Pro. It has a two piece firebox which 16" Dia and 19" L the smoking chamber is 20" X 39" so I'm not sure of the model. I did alot of reading before I started and done some mods before smoking. For the firebox I bought some high temp gasket material and made gaskets for the two pieces, around intake door and where it bolts to the smoke chamber. In the chamber I bought from Home depot 3 pieces of sheet metal 12x16 folded them around to make half moon. This allowed them to sit on the lower part of the chamber and follow the curve of the inlet to the firebox. I then drilled 3/4" holes in them. In the first one next to the firebox I drilled 3, one in the center and 0ne on either side at about 10 and 2 o'clock. The second has 6 holes and the third has 9. With the total of all 3 being 36" and the chamber at 39" I can adjust the spacing between them and have been able to maintain temp to within 10 deg end to end. I get a little better each time and this weekend am smoking 6 slabs of baby backs and two chickens cut in half, gonna be a great independence day weekend.
