Advice from a Dog

Hello, let me introduce myself. I am Hudson, also known as Huddy or Stinky. No one has asked me for advice before, mainly because I cannot talk in human words, but I do understand about a hundred and twenty words. In addition to the words, I can understand body language and emotions, so I get the true meaning of what you are saying. Here are a few things that humans forget that are worth mentioning.

If someone asks you if you want to go for a ride, hop in the car or truck.

Going outside is exciting. Coming home is wonderful.

If something is unpleasant, bury it or pee on it and walk away.

Greet someone at the door with excitement and anticipation.

Always sleep in a warm bed with someone you love.

Finish every morsel of food on your dinner plate. Don’t waste.

Accept compliments with grace. I get told, “I am a good boy.”

Look into someone’s eyes until you can see their soul.

Awake at dawn so you can greet the sunrise.

When you are tired, take a nap.

And most of all, wag your tail. I wish I could smile or laugh like humans, but since I cannot express my love and affection through words, I wag my tail instead. It’s direct from my heart to my tail. I do not take detours through my brain and prejudice. Probably the closest thing you humans have to a tail wag is a smile. Use it. It feels good.

Lastly, live in the moment. I never contemplate tomorrow or regret yesterday because I am living in today.

This reminded me of that old joke.

If you want to know who loves your more, your wife or your dog, lock both of them in the trunk of your car and see how each acts when you let them out.

We had a salesman's display tent for girls wish I could find the picture, it was about a 1' x 1' exact duplicate of a full size family one.
So this is very cute to me.
