No problem at all. I did use yellow mustard as a binder but I don't think it makes much difference. The rub was applied the night before then the ribs spent the night in my refigerator before smoking the next morning.
UPDATE: I have found a solution that has evened out the temperatures in my series 3 vertical Pit Boss smoker. I always suspected the problem was that the temp sensor was located too close to the fire pot at the bottom of the smoker resulting in much higher temp readings at the lower cooking...
The racks in my Pit Boss series 3 vertical smoker were too small to fit most full racks of ribs so I tried hanging them from the top grate with good results. I will be smoking my ribs this way from now on.
Yes...still under warranty. I called Pitboss yesterday and they also suspected the controller board. They are shipping one to me under warranty. Fingers crossed 🤞
