Hi,

Noob from the Chicagoland area. Just got a WSM 22.5 for Xmas. Can't wait to smoke something.

Thanks,

Steve

Congrats! If you don't already have one get yourself a good multi probe digital therm to monitor pit and meat temps. I use the iGrill 2 and used to use the Maverick 732.

The WSM is a great smoker. It will take a few smokes to get it sealed up and running smooth. Once you get there it will be almost set and forget.

Thanks. Yes, dual probe on the list. Just posted a q looking for one that works in the cold Midwest winters. I plan to smoke when temps are reasonable here, which is about 30's during winter months.
