First time buying a smoker and at this point I am unsure of either propane or electric. I think Im leaning towards a masterbuilt.

Is there even a difference in taste?  Or one more for beginners like me?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Welcome from SC. It's good to have you on this great site. I can't give you any thoughts on propane or electric, but if you're interested in taste, charcoal or wood is the way to get that.

Good luck in your search and good smoking, Joe

Good evening and welcome to the forum, from a really nice, sunny day here in East Texas. Lots of great people with tons of information on just about  everything.

Sorry I'm an old stick burner

I'm running a bradley electric smoker at this point. I need a bigger smoker and am thinking about building a smokehouse. I like the ease of the electric. This one is pretty easy to set and forget til you get hungry. I don't have any experience with a propane burner. The unit was a bit spendy to get into 400 I think. It was great for a beginner. I'm to the point where I need to expand as I get into sausages. Good luck in your smoking addiction. Welcome to smf
