pork shoulder q-view

    this has been on for about 4 hours smoker temp running a little high outside temp 28. using oak chunks for heat and hickory for tbs. about another 3 hours or so till pulling time and another q-view or two.

    Looks like all is going well. I'm ready for the finished shots and a sammie or 2.[​IMG]
     
  3. don't be suprised if it takes another 5 + hrs. Gotta figure at least 1 -1 1/2 hrs for the stall.Looking forward to the pics!

    ya mean preburning the oak
     
  6. Yea, and well, it's an all wood smoke right? Ya should be preburning it all...but small amounts of flavor wood will work OK.

    no its electric and i use charcoal for heat this time i had added a few chunks of oak for a little extra heat outsid temp was 28.
     
  8. Ahhh..OK. But still a preburn on any chunks might be a good idea. Looks like a nice smoke ya got on it so far tho...ENJOY!

    you hit it right on the hesd did not know about the stall time shes been sitting around 135 for about 1.5 hrs and still not moving fast
