True on the face shield. I use one all the time, even on the chop saw, made it s habit.

At one point a few years ago Home Depot had a really bad batch of cut off wheels. They would come apart for no reason. Since then they have changed brands and I have never had a problem since.

This is the brand they carry now. They only come apart if you drop the angle grinder on the ground! Haha

I am getting an ok joe highland next week and after reading this forum for awhile I was just going to do a couple mods but now after reading more and looking around at work I think I want to go all in and make a reverse flow out of it. I have access to both mild and stainless steel the reason I'm asking I because when I use to run the laser at work mild cut much hotter when I cut it so didn't know if stainless would affect the Temps within the smoker.

Sorry when I read that I think I need to clarify a little more stainless takes much more power to cut but when your done cutting the pieces are much cooler to the touch than when you cut mild steel. sorry I'm new to this if you couldn't tell and any help is much appreciated!
