New MBS

    Well after wrapping my ribs and leaving them in the refrig over night, they are on my new MBS. I sure hope this works. A little late getting them on due to work but a late supper only means time for a few more tasty beverages!!!!! Will let you guys know how they turn out. 2 more hours and in the foil.[​IMG]

    Pineywoods, where are you at in FLA? I'm in Crestview Fl. Well lower LA anyway, but that's o.k. I'm from BAMA.

    I have a good friend of mine that retired from the AirForce that's in Crystal river. Goin to try and get down that way to fish some time. Seems like the thermostat is off on my MBS. I put my Taylor in the vent and read 278 with the temp set to 225. Ran out to my barrel smoker and pulled out one of my temp guages out real quick and dropped it in the smoke hole and it read 250. Dropped the setting on my MBS by 15 and will see what happens. I don't think the Taylor is designed for just dropping in the hole. I did check it on boiling water last night after I bought it and it when off @ 215. This site rocks for smokin!

    Yea fishing isn't bad around here you outta make it down give me a holler before you come down. If the Taylor is that close I'd go with it and adjust temps accordingly

    Still seems to be running a little hot. I guess I'm going to have and try a few burns to get it right. Hopefully they will be eatible!

    Sure they will may just cut down on the 1 hour at the end

    Good luck on those ribs, Bama. Get those pics out there or you'll continue to be gently harrassed [​IMG] . Most importantly - hope they taste good!
