First post for me.  I have been reading the forum for about 4 months. Bought my smoker 6 months ago.  Its a Brinkman vertical smoker.  I made a couple of basic mods to it.  Replaced the handles and the charcoal pan with a stir fry pan from lowes.  Got a few smokes under my belt, including baby backs, prime rib, whole chicken, St louis, pork lion, and pork shoulder + butt.   Love this place.  Next is the almighty FATTIE!!!

First off Welcome Tilly to SMF. Now you will love the Fattie on your first shot at it. You'll like it here for there are alot of really good folks here that would just love to help you with just about anything to do with smoking. Now there are alot of proven recipes for some amazing things here too. So if you need sign up for the E-Course it's free and it will give you the basics of smoking and some good methods to use also. So the next big thing for you to do is go out and get you something to smoke and if you happen to have any questions just post it here and we will be happy to answer them for you.

    Welcome To Your New Addiction

Welcome Tilly, Glad to see someone from Little Rhodie here.  We lived in Jamestown for a while and got to show off real Q to those folks.  The info you get here is worth years of trial and (expensive) error.

    Glad to have you.
