BBQ aholic. I am a member of My Side of the Mountain BBQ team here in VA. My partner, Gary in VA and I combined our 2 teams into one and have had a blast ever since. I have been competing in KCBS comps since 2004. I also am a full time Firefighter and a part time caterier. One of my goals is to host a Comp here in VA that puts teams into the American Royal and the Jack. We are starting this year with a contest sanctioned by MABBQA and we are trying to get a Governors Proclamation to get this a VA State Championship. Hey Bill, how's it going in Virginia these days? I had the opportunity to provide mass quantities of barbecue in the first ever James River Barbecue Festival in Lynchburg and I was amazed how beautiful it was in that area.

Welcome Bill, glad to have another member from the Commonwealth. I live in Salem. My buddy (LC in VA) are relatively new to smoking but have been looking for comps near by.
