I'm Julien, aka jbow.

I'm in Cartersville, GA. I've been grilling for a long time. I've had many grills and a couple of smokers. My grills right now are both Webers. I have a Genesis and I should have bought one years ago, it is an incredible grill. I also have a 22" Weber kettle that sits in the corner and pouts since I got the Genesis. I got a bad of charcoal for it though.

Earlier this week I bought a Masterbuilt Electric Smoker, the earier one with the top control panel that sits on back.

I am looking forward to learning to use it and eating some GOOD FOOD!

I am also a guitarist. I play electric blues mostly these days, I am 63 years old now... so the blues fit. I have a pile of metal detectors too and a lot of civil war relics, I live in Cassville, GA. The Campaign for Atlanta came right through here. I don't detect as much as I used to though, these old bones gripe at me if I do. I use Cakewalk Sonar for recording and fun with my guitars. Oh, I own an exterminating business since 1989 and my dad was an exterminator, it's what I know... I grew up in Moultrie, in south Georgia, SOWEGA for those who know. I'm glad to be alive and able to eat meat!!

Anyway, I am glad to meet you and hope to learn a lot and maybe one day be helpful!

Julien, welcome to SMF!  Glad you're here.  Sounds like hours around a smoker would be filled with stories galore.  Have fun learning the new equipment and sharing what you create on it.

Looking forward to seeing you around the threads.

Welcome from SC, Julien. I hope you will enjoy this site. Being an exterminator, you should share your recipes for raccoon, possum and cat. Blues guitar is a good lick. It has a sound all it's own. Good luck with you cooking and keep on smoking, Joe
