Yesterday we had a hankerin for some chicken, but I didn’t have any thawed out whole birds. So I ran over to the grocery store and picked up a pack of chicken wings. I picked up a bottle of Franks Red Hot as well, but it didn’t make it through the front door. I guess the bottles weren’t built to be dropped on concrete when reaching for your keys.

Did a quick dusting of garlic salt, lowrys, and CBP.

Got the UDS up to about 265 for these

They started to look sauced after awhile which was cool, but it was just the smoke

Inside I mixed what little red hot I had left in the fridge and heated up some butter and mixed it all together. Took the wings off the drum after flipping them once half way through, and gave them a dip/toss in the warmed up red hot.

Wifey made some mac & cheese, and plated a few wings w/ some ranch. Wings look a little dark since flash was off

Looks good

Q: about how long do the wings take on there?

i have to add this to my list...

I prolly had them on for 2.5 hours. I'm sure they were done before that though. Cooked between 240-265 the whole time

I put them on one side for an hour, then flipped them for another hour, and sorta forgot about them for about half an hour.

They were still very moist though, The bones slid right out of the wing parts which I liked

Now those are some mighty fine looking wings you have there. I really like the sauce I mean how can you go wrong with butter and hot sauce.
