I have searched high and low and cant find anyone that has done whats in my head. I am mainly posting this for the guys that can tell me "why not" to do this.

I am picking up 2-250 gallon tanks today that are being given to me. My plan is a reverse flow trailer build, But i cant find anyone that has used a 2nd tank (even cut down to size) mounted vertically to the end of your horizontal tank to be used as fire box and warming box.

The vertical would have 1/4" plate sealing the bottom for a fire box, and the top be used as warming. With doors, vents and all that good stuff, why would this be a bad idea? Thanks folks! and cant wait to learn from yall!

Round is a b*tch to work with for shelving, air inlets and to fit up..... doesn't provide much usable space.....

Depending on where you live, you could probably post one of the tanks for sale on Craigslist and get $200-$300 for it. Use that money to buy a sheet of 1/4" and you won't have much difference to make up. I'm a novice but Dave is right. The fabrication involved with matching up round tanks, pipe bending tubing for shelving, etc. is a nightmare. Either way, best of luck and hoping you document the build in a thread.
