I'm gonna hit them up today sometime. if so. you get any good ones there.? anything to recommend.?

You are going to need more than 1 Tbone. You wouldnt want to skip the probe in the meat, how else will you know when its ready to pull.

For example 3 different pork butts all weighing roughly the same will be finished at different times. (just the way it works) There are so many factors to consider that it really is a good idea to have a thermometer for each piece of meat that you are cooking in addition to 1 that is dedicated to measure the grate temp.

I just picked up 2 more from of all places...www.qvc.com. I found their prices to be 10 bucks cheaper than other online retailers. Of course you can usually find good deals at HD or lowes or even bed bath and beyond. Get some good quality thermos because they really are a very important part of a successful smoke.

Hope this helps.

ok, so if for instance, i bought 2 of those thermometers that i linked. one for in the brisket. and one for the internal temp of the smoker.. that would be cool.?

so i just bought the Maverick ET71 they had at Mills.

Pretty cool. does the temp from 100 feet away.!! gonna do a brisket and pork loin today. and i WILL have pictures if they turn out good. :)

i looked over the differences.. and thats basically what i got.

Just doesn't have a back light. and doesn't have the clip to connect to the grill. and it was only $19.99 at mills.

Oh and doesn't have a belt clip.

my brisket and loin turned out really good.!! my only problems where... i didn't get a good enough ring in my opinion. and i took it out a little earlier than i probably should have. no pictures since it wasn't one of my smokes. Still getting used to this electric smoker.!
