Above is the link to the entire album devoted to my brother's smoker trailer. Last week he made an addition to compliment the smoker. It is a two-burner propane grill. This allows him some flexibility to what he is able to serve and do when...
Maybe some roses are in order! I think this idea could easily be adapted to the smoking community.

What CAN'T one do with bacon??
I'm having my homemade chicken noodle soup (didn't make the noodles this time, sorry) with Stonebriar's IronWill smoked pepperjack crumbled in for that extra yum factor.....
It's a nice way to chase away the chill of a sub-freezing morning!
I was feeling a bit under the weather this morning. Not wanting much for breakfast, I broke into a care package given to me by Stonebriar. My IronWill smoked almonds and sharp cheddar on a Triscuit wafer really hit the spot.
"Thank You" for your taste of the wild, Steve!
**Sorry to those...
and I didn't take any pics. Too many folks coming and going to allow me to pick up the camera.
Just got home from our annual holiday party. Dale and I cooked five gallons of Dale's special Ranch Style Beans, 36 racks of St. Louis style ribs (only 3 left), 4 whole pork loins (1/3 of one left)...
I am once again endeavoring to improve upon my Pork-U-Pine. My latest experiment is to take some of my favorite flavors and combine them within a pork loin--two kinds of cheese, hot links, and baby spinach. Here is the list of ingredients:
1- whole pork loin (approx. 9.5 lbs.)
1- 5 oz. wedge...
One afternoon a lawyer was riding in his limousine when he saw two men along the road-side eating grass.
Disturbed, he ordered his driver to stop and got out to investigate.
He asked one man, "Why are you eating grass?"
"We don't have any money for food," the poor man replied. "We have to eat...
Stonebriar was gracious enough to give me some of his superb smoked sharp cheddar last week. Wanting something besides Thanksgiving leftovers, I decided to grate some up for a ham and cheese omelette for Sunday lunch.
When I sprinkled the last of the grated cheese on the top of the...
Sorry, no Q-View for this one. But the pictures would have looked the same as last year's (with one exception). I brought the camera with the best intentions, but was too busy to ever get it out of the case.
Today was the day for our annual customer appreciation party held each year at our...
Well, it's bee a while since I've posted--I'm still not very used to navigating the new forum. I haven't been smoking much, either.
I apologize up front. Due to a cold front moving in, I moved up the smoke by a day and didn't have the camera for prep or cooking portions of the day. I do have...
This weekend is the OK State BBQ Championship. It's the Smokin' Red Dirt BBQ Festival with a $10K prize payout. Looks like lots of rain coming, but I'll get out Saturday and shoot some pics. Several from the forum will be part of the competition.
A few weeks back one of the members here posted that Cain's was no longer making BBQ spices. I did some homework and found out this is not the case.
Cain's Coffee (and spice) Company was purchased by Sara Lee Corp. several years ago. They have since been aquired by Farmer Brothers Coffee...
The deputies are drifted out of the county jail's parking lot. I have to go to work!
Did I mention I HATE SNOW?
Okay, not really, but I was just laying down for a nice nap while the Bristol race was on.
Motorcycles!

Some have come and gone, but all are fondly remembered. The current stable also includes a little Honda Elite 80 my daughter will ride this summer. I'm not sure it's a motorcycle--can't make myself take a picture and claim it as "mine".
8:25 am; March 20, 2010.
25 mph north winds .
3+ inches of snow and still falling.
Pretty unusual for Oklahoma the day before spring is supposed to arrive.
The fire must not be hot enough.
The snow let up before I found the camera card.
Thermometer says "28"
I may just go back to bed!
I can't tell if this is a smoker, or just a grill. But, I thought it looked cool.

I'd never heard of this brand before. They have a pretty complete lineup of mostly grills. It covers everything from tailgating to full catering rigs. Here's their website...
Let me preface this by saying it has ended up being the most challenging smoke I've done to date. It was a real struggle to keep the temps correct because of the rain showers and trying to keep the temp at 225. Lump coal would be a much better fuel source for the conditions present.
I was...
.... a 26.5 lb. chuck roast for next Wednesday night's smoke. Chuck is pictured with his "grillfriend" Saucy. Saucy is a gallon of pure nectar from the Rib Crib restaurant. Chuck will be part of a feed for my son's wrestling team next Thursday evening. He'll be spiced, smoked, sliced and wed to...
