The GFS store in my city closed and I am majorly bummed. Had to search all over the city to find one store that carries whole pork shoulders. I can't find the buttery griddle oil that GFS carried anywhere. Getting back in the BBQ game and run into this right off the bat. Phooey I say, PHOOEY!! :emoji_cold_sweat: :emoji_laughing: :emoji_laughing:

That sucks ! I hope that doesn't happen here . I'm in there at least once a week .
They had frozen Pork belly yesterday . Never seen that before . Makes me wonder if shortages are coming again . Going back tomorrow to see what comes in on the delivery . I watch it all real time , by going and looking .
Pricing on all the meat has jumped up big time in the last 2 weeks .

Well that isn't what you wanted to see Jeff.

I don't go to GFS as it a crappy drive.
I have Costco Business Center or Publix (sale only) to source my meat.

I picked up tri-tip at $3.99 / last November. Stopped there Monday and it is now $5.79 /

Did notice they are back to skinless belly though.

JC is the one in Apppeton still open?
I don’t shop there so not sure if it’s still around.

As far as I know it is still open. Just a bummer I will have to drive to Appleton for supplies. I am going to check out a couple of local butchers to see if I can get my meat from them. I really enjoyed shopping at GFS here in Green Bay.

Mine usually has the bellies frozen when they are approaching clearance date.

Having one and losing it has to be worse than not even having one... I see some of the great things you guys get there!

I should have said they never have belly . This one is pretty much fresh , or it comes in frozen .
They have the same stuff on a regular basis . When I start seeing stuff they don't normally have , it usually means that can't get something else .
I buy all my meat there .

That's the same GFS is used. Now gotta make the trek to Appleton, which is disappointing as their meat selection is typically pretty lacking, but they'll likely have the griddle oil you're seeking.
