Giving me flashback nightmares!!! My old house was a sprinkler nightmare every spring. I spent countless hours repairing/fixing etc.

Then we moved to the mountains and there is just nature out there, no manicured lawns. Maintenance is easy, weed whack 1-2X a summer, blow snow in the winter. I dont miss the sprinklers...not for a second.

Nice fix Chris, looks good to me. And when an issue happens it always has to be in the most convenient place.

Being an excavation business owner we deal with stuff like this all the time. One thing I’ll say for future reference is that any time you plumb a garden valve or hydrant off of a line, it’s best practice to always lay the “T” horizontal off the main and then elbow up the hydrant. This keeps direct pressure off the main flex wise from use and allows you to place support under the elbow. It’s just how I do things because I don’t like digging stuff back up.

I hate our sprinklers system as well, it's always acting up, and since our landscaping is watered with well water, the sprinkler heads get gunked up a few times a yr.
this yr, the automatic valves that are in a Christy box in the ground leaked a little, so roots covered them, and actually grew into the valve packing, and caused them to run constantly. I had to turn off the well, and take apart the automatic valves and clean up the diaphragms to get them to work again, it's always something. LOL!!!
I want to put in fake lawn in the front yard, we already have it in the backyard, and I love it.
