    Hey thanks guys for the replies.I called Pit Boss and the guy told me to set the P on 3.I tried it and it worked somewhat better.I'm using Pit Boss Comp.Pellets.After nine hrs of the butt cooking,I had to give it to the dogs.I tried Pit Boss Mango Rub,and it made the meat taste really bad.I...

    I just bought the Pitt Boss Austin XL Smoker,and like it so far.Can I cook steak subs on it with the lid open?I have a flat top that I'd put on the grates,and will cook on that.Just not sure if the smoker will get hot enough with the lid open Thanks,Bill

    The cheese that are molding now,have not been vac sealed.I wraped them in wax paper.I read where you can wash the mold off with a brush and water.i'll try that.

    Question about using my char-griller for making deer jerky.

    Last year I used my acorn grill for making jerky.I didn't get much of a smokey taste.I think that I will get a better result if I use the char-griller.Do I build the fire in the fire box,or does it need to be in the the main chamber,with the meat? Thanks,Bill
