I have a 30 inch MES, and I was wondering if I can still smoke in the winter? Just got mine in the spring so I haven't used it during the fall/winter.  Do you tarp it? It's on the patio in my backyard and it's super windy in the backyard in the winter.  But it's SE Michigan so it's windy everywhere.  I grill in the garage with the windows and doors open but I don't think that would work with the smoker. Any advice or words of wisdom?

A lot of people smoke in the winter.  I for one am going to pack my smoker away after Thanksgiving.  It will definitely help my waistline a lot and will give me something to look forward to in the spring!

But yeah, you can easily do it.  You can put up an insulated barrier pretty easily if need be.
