I'm smoking beef ribs tomorrow. I've already prepared this Holy Cow rub from Mike Mills' book " Peace, Love, and Barbecue " .

But I want to add garlic. Question is, how much garlic ?

Smokin Okie, I would add 1/4 cup of granulated garlic to that recipe and taste. It may need more but I would start there. Myself, I would back the paprika down a little for my taste. Just my $.02

Well, I'm thinking I need to back off on the paprika also. However, I don't use paprika for flavor, to me, its used for color. And the color of these the rub when first applied tells me maybe I could back off the paprika.

Then the finished ribs, have a reddish tint. That's not what I'm accustomed to, I'm used to black bark.

Also, I added 1/8 cup of garlic. I think next time I go to 1/4 cup of garlic.

Those look awesome, My ratio is typically 1:1:1/4 depending on what I am cooking, sometimes I back off the salt and sometimes I add more pepper
