What is going on with SMF lately?

This is the friendliest & most helpful site I've ever been on.
I wouldn't be smoking all kinds of bacon already, were it not for this GREAT SITE & it's wonderful residents.
The second best I used to haunt is a Chainsaw Carving site.
All of the others I go to are very unfriendly, but they are political sites. Some of them may have started out friendly, but evolved into what politics always becomes. Not a good topic among international friends.
