Yeah you have to have both set for something for the heating element to come on but it's quick & easy to hit the down button once & set the time for 23:59Yes sorry masterbuilt 40 gen 2.smoking B I take it the answer is no but that is a work around.
When I set the temp on my MES30 I simply set the desired temp and then push the minus (-) once on time to get the full 24hrs. It's only a couple of button presses after setting your temp so it's not a big deal IMO.
When I set mine up, time is easy, first bump is 10 hours, second bump is 20 hours, Chances are good if I am cooking longer than 20 hours I will check it sometime while its cooking.
