my first brisket?

I'm planning on cooking my first brisket on Sunday. Is there a post or something to guide me. Like should I use a rub (I used Jeff's naked rib rub last weekend on some babybacks & they were awesome), use a marinade, what should I mop it with, temp & how long per pound? Things like that any comments are appreciated.
 
What cut of brisket are you doing, a flat or a packer? How many pounds? There are quite a few threads out there under the "beef" section of the forum, one being a sticky.
