I own the Brinkmann Trailmaster. It's going on 2 years now and I am still glad I made the purchase. I'm a stick burner at heart so that's why I went with an offset smoker. It does a fine job. If you choose this model, just remember to seal every joint, bolt hole, etc up with a high temp RTV...
I was at Home Depot on Sunday morning and noticed they had 8.8lb bags of True Cue Lump Charcoal marked down from 7.97 to 3.18 a bag. I had never even heard of it before, but couldn't pass up the price.

I smoked some Kroger brand leg quarters (the ones in the red white and blue packaging) about 2 weeks ago. Had really good results. Didn't brine...just rubbed with EVOO and rubbed with Rendezvous rub.
