Congrats! That q looks great and the Yoder will work with consistency - just give it a little patience getting used to temps and pellet brands - wish I could have sprung for the cart when I bought mine - no regrets though still cooks great - enjoy
I've had one since Feb 2013, only replaced the ignitor to date. Very happy with it, used it both for smoking and grilling. Some quirks but once you figure it out works great. Built like a tank!
Forgot to say best place for the tube, at least on my 640 is top shelf left rail, seems to distribute smoke throughout best I can tell,due to convection.
I've had a 640 for a while, definitely a great smoker. Definitely use the tube for extra smoke and use bottom racks. Temp at 300 to 325 will work, fun part is you can try again. I use a blend of Maple and Hickory for chicken. Enjoy.
