    You just gave me am idea! Cook brisket. Cut point into cubes. Rub cubes, wrap with bacon, back on the fire. Buy larger pants.

    +1. Lately I've been on a kick of mixing 2 or 3 kinds of beans with a little brown sugar, maybe some chili powder or rub, then set the pan on the rack beneath a butt or a chicken. Delicious. Or a pan of potatoes and onions. I hate to waste the drippings!

    Usually nothing. Sometimes soy sauce on ribs, oil on chicken.

    Collard greens. Partly because they grow about 200 feel from my smoker, but mostly because I just like them better, especially with pork of any kind.

    The first music I remember clearly is Merle's live "Okie from Muskogee", the one with "Swinging Doors" and "Mama Tried" on it... 0n my dad's 8 track during road trips. The Hag was who all the other country singers wanted to be when they grew up.

    Is it just me, or has Rouses just lost the bubble lately? When the Slidell store first opened, the meat and produce sections were excellent. It seems like as there expanded, they've just gone downhill.

    We had the same ad here in south MS, so I went to check it out. They had packages of ribs for .88/lb. But the label reads "large pork ribs contains brisket bones." Apparently the 5-7 pounds thing refers to the package. Each package had about 3 racks that looked like they'd been cut by a blind...
