Sorry to hear that, the only thing I can think of is brine it and use a bottle of liquid smoke and roast it. Sometime's ya have to wing it. [IMG]

You can also wrap that ECB in an old blanket or sleeping bag behind that windbreak.  Lot's of coals, too (unless you have a gasser or an electric!)!!  [IMG]

You have all kinds of ways to make that smoke a great success. There you have you work cut out for ya now. So smoke on my friend.

First things first I would pull the smoker out and start it up and give it a try and see what temps you can maintain with the cold outside. If you just can't get the temps high enough then maybe invest in some welding blankets or also I have heard of people using hot water heater wraps. Is it the wind or the cold that you are worried about? Best of luck.

  8. I do alot of smokeing so what I did was to build a little shelter around my smokers . Nothing fancy . Just something  to protect me from the winds . Once you start smokeing your meats it will hold the heat inside . Just make sure you have some way to vent your smoke out .
