Well, I finally got to experience the taste of a tri tip. Tracey (Walle) brought his cooker over in preparation for the mid game dinner. Actually, he brought the dinner with him also.[IMG] We loaded up the cooker with two chimneys of plain ol' Kingsford charcoal. Then he hung the tri tips from a rod placed through two holes in the upper portion of the drum. Cooked for two hours and used one chunk of hickory and one stick of orange wood. This is definitely something I'll be trying again. In fact, I still have the cooker at my house since the coals made it too hot to handle.[IMG]I did borrow Rich's camera for a couple of these shots.[IMG] Tri tip is certainly on my keeper list.

Thanks for checking out our tri tip pics.

Nice, Bassman!  Love the good old tri-tip!  BTW, finally made sourdough bread using your recipe -- turned out great!  Thanks for all your help with the sourdough!

Thanks everyone!  James, I'm glad you finally got to use your starter.  That is some good bread.[IMG]

I've been using it -- for pancakes & waffles 2x/ week.  finally got around to the bread :)  I've also been spreading the love and giving starter to friends and family.
