Hi everyone,
After a bit of research, I've decided to build my 1st UDS. I have the drum and bought most of the hardware for it. I'm about ready to burn the inside of the drum to get it any / all stuff out of it. The drum itself appears to be in good condition. However the entire inside has a rusted powder all it. I'm hoping the fire will take tare of this. Either way, I know I have to put some elbow grease into sanding the inside and outside down to the bare metal.
So....how long do I burn the drum for?....and does the flames really need to go above the rim? (Backyard is a bit tight, and I have concerns about things around it).
Any input would be great!
Thanks!!!
