Smoking a frozen picnic

    I am leaving for vacation and decided to take pulled pork with me. I took a picnic out of the freezer and will leave it out all night, will put it in the fridge tomorrow before I leave for work.

    I want to smoke it tomorrow night but dont know if it will be thawed by then. How will it cook 1/2 frozen?

    I would "think" it should cook fine, just slower maybe keep it at 250 and raise the temp when your sure it's thawed to avoid over cooking the outside. If it would fit in something and put it in your sink and fill it with water and let it slowly run it would help thaw it faster not sure how food safe it would be without keeping an eye on it.

    As long as you get it from 40-140 in 4 hours you will be fine. Otherwise it's a no go. That's the rule!

    So cook hot as I always do.
