Just landed on SMF to start learning by reading.

I recently got a Smokin-It Model 2 -'s electric, and I'm going against my purist tendencies. I've got some minimal smoking experience using  a smoker box on my propane grill as well as smoking game on a drum smoker - but in the case of the latter, I wasn't the guy tending fire, keeping temp, or choosing woods. So I jumped into this electric while I have a busy career and a couple young girls - wanted to spend a couple years getting my chops down on recipes and wood selection, while keeping the equipment process a bit easier.

I hunt birds and big game, so I'm looking forward to years of field-to-table meals. And my wife loves game and smoked meats...didn't know that when I dropped the ring on her!

Looking forward to the learning and the next meal...

[IMG]to SMF!  We are so glad you joined us!

If you didn't read the "Terms of Service" notes.....please do.  There are a few things that everyone should know about those little "pesky" rules before plunging into the forums. It's just a reminder of what to do and what is sort of a no-no here.

If you need any help roaming around the forums....just holler!  Happy to help out!
