  1. I am a huge rookie when it comes to smoking meat. In fact I am a rookie at cooking anything :) I recently got into welding as a hobby and wanted a project to work on. I cam across an old oil tank and planed on making a propane cooker. I have a good friend that I met while I was in the Airforce and he lives in Texas. He turned me on to the idea of building a smoker and after doing some research online I got hooked. Although I have never smoked any meat I cant wait to get my smoker finished so I can. I am from Amelia Virginia and thanks in advance for helping a rookie out.

    Glad you joined the group. The search bar at the top of any page is your best friend.
    About anything you wanna know about smoking/grilling/curing/brining/cutting or slicing
    and the list goes on has probably been posted. Remember to post a QVIEW of your smokes.
    We are all smoke junkies here and we have to get our fix. If you have questions
    Post it and you will probably get 10 replies with 11 different answers. That is
    because their are so many different ways to make great Q...
