Hey there smokers, I'm Brasshead and I live in Seattle, Washington. I am currently using a basic propane fueled, 2 door, smoker. I had a charcoal w/side box but someone borrowed it forever without telling me who they were. (Sigh) It was really a bummer since after 2 attempts I had yet to get beef ribs done to my satisfaction. I just hope whoever has it now is better at ribs than I was! Haha, life's too short for getting all worked up over things you have little control over. I'll just keep smoking delicious meat.

Brasshead,
My son was stationed for a few years up north of you at Whidbey Island when he was in the Navy. Welcome, from southern Ohio, to the best forum on the internet if you are looking to learn how to BBQ/smoke/brine/cure/inject. Well you get the picture if you can do it to to something you put on a plate to eat then someone here has probably done it. Use the search bar at the top of the page and you will be led to the answer to most every question you can think of. If you don't find the answer there then just post it and someone will chime in with there opinion on the subject.

Thanks Wolfman, I appreciate the advice. My roommate is from Oberlin, he tells me that its in that Ohio place. In fact my step dad's from Bowling Green. I'm surrounded by Ohio natives!
Gary, I'm in Washington....keep the rubbing in to brisket, not your beautifully sunny and envy inducing, for Seattelittes, non rain soaked state! Haha, just kidding. I actually love smoking in all this rain, the cool humidity helps keep the temps down.
