Just doing the roll call thing. Did alot of reading today on your awesome site. Ton's of great info here guy's and gal's. It really is the best forum and/or site I've found in regard's to smokin' meat and everything else.
A little about myself. Real name is Dave. I'm from Virginia (Northern) and I'm pretty much obsessed with smoking meat's.
My first smoker was one of those water smoker's. Had a few of them until a really fun experience with my last one. To say the least, I don't own one anymore after a night in the hospital (my own doing).
I use a Charbroil now. Got it from Home Depot about 4 years ago and I just love it. On the weekends that I don't smoke something, I'll actually lift the lid and take a deep breath of that perfectly seasoned metal.....damn that smells good.
Love doing pork butt's and have gotten pretty damn good at them if I say so myself. Have also gotten much better at Brisket's and am more comfotable doing them. The first few were more or less disaster's. Just did my first fatty (thanks keywesmoker from another forum) I really liked the flavor and will be doing somemore this weekend.
So that's just a little bit or taste about me. I look forward to being a part of this great forum. Now it's time to pull the rib's outta the freezer.
