Northern Ireland BBQ'r

  1. Hi all,

    been bbq'ing for a large number of years now (too many birthday's to mention), using traditional open grills, but just recently took the plunge and bought a 57 weber premium so quite new to indirect cooking and smoking.  In it to win it as I don't do things by halves, so looking all the advice and help I can get.  I will ask a lot of questions and probably question a lot of what's said, not that I know any better but I find that's the best way to learn. question everything, then use all that advice and knowledge in your own way.  cheers.

  3. Glad you joined the group. The search bar at the top of any page is your best friend.
    About anything you wanna know about smoking/grilling/curing/brining/cutting or slicing
    and the list goes on has probably been posted. Remember to post a QVIEW of your smokes.
    We are all smoke junkies here and we have to get our fix. If you have questions
    Post it and you will probably get 10 replies with 11 different answers. That is
    because their are so many different ways to make great Q...

    LowtownandSlo, welcome from Washington State! Glad to see some folks from the old country taking up traditional American BBQ.

    My family originally came from somewhere in County Antrim. Emigrated about 1730.

    You'll find almost everything you need to know on this site.

Hello and Welcome to our addiction.  Many good folks here with a load of experience that they are more than willing to share.  If you have specific questions just start a thread and someone with experience will be along soon to offer advice.  All info you can provide us with such as smoker type, location and so on will help us answer any questions you may have, and pictures help a bunch.  Spend some time doing some research on the forums, tons of advice and recipes already available there.  Check out Jeff’s 5 day smoking E-Course ( link below ) that will help you get started.  We look forward to your contributions.  Have fun.  Good luck.  Keep Smokin!

  7. Welcome to the forum. My Grandparents came to the USA in the early 1900's from Tipperary. Lot of information here to bring you up to speed.
